Our platform is exclusively designed to provide long-term housing solutions for Erasmus students and digital nomads. To ensure the smooth operation of our housing platform, we collect specific data during your registration and booking process:
- For Hosts: When listing a property, you must create an account, provide your full name, email address, phone number, and set a password.
- For Guests (Erasmus Students & Nomads): You can browse properties freely. However, to request a booking, you must register by providing your name, email address, contact details, and the purpose of your stay (e.g., studies or remote work).
We also indirectly collect technical data (such as IP addresses, browser types, and device information) to monitor server operations, prevent cyberattacks, and optimize your user experience.
3. Use of Data and Communication
Your data is strictly used to facilitate housing arrangements. Specifically, for completing a booking, ThessNest will share only the essential contact details (name, phone number, and email address) of the Guest with the Host, and vice versa, to allow direct communication.
We do not sell or trade your personal data to third parties. If you have opted in, we may occasionally send newsletters or updates relevant to your stay in Thessaloniki. You can unsubscribe from these communications at any time.
4. Data Retention and Security
Your personal data is retained only for as long as necessary to achieve our platform’s purposes, including any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. All digital data is encrypted, and our servers are protected by firewalls and strict access controls.
